Empowering Business Change with ITIL®
ITIL® v3 has been with us for a year now and we are seeing the overwhelming movement to the principles and practices of the service lifecycle as organisations are looking to leverage technology to reduce cost, derive value and most importantly - drive real business growth. The seminar delves deeper into how ITIL® can enable an organisation to adopt processes and technology to enable continued business change and sustainability. The audience will gain insight to a service lifecycle approach – and find out how to start putting v3 theory into practice.
The seminar features some of the industry’s most influential thought leaders who will share practical advice and first-hand experience.
Welcome to the itSMF Online Conference events site. To view the "Empowering Business Change with ITIL®" programme line up for the live day you must first REGISTER for the event or LOG IN to the events site.

Was the lifecycle approach the right approach? Are organisations using v3 guidance to improve their overall service provision or is it being largely ignored? After visiting many companies in 5 continents has the overall strategy and architecture of ITIL® v3 hit the mark? The speaker will address these and many other questions during this session

This session will look at the critical element in your ITSM implementation and what is driving customer value through business integration leveraging processes such as Service Level Management and the Service Catalog as your primary vehicles for delivering value. The realities are that you can expend significant resources on many perceived Service Levels when the business may only care about a subset and experience has shown us that the catalog can be the vehicle to truly foster business and IT communications and synergies.

ITIL® V3 has been with us sometime now and has at last settled down a bit after all of the early hype. Initially there were many detractors but these seem to have also calmed down a little now. Some of the hype was caused by giving ITIL® version numbers, there was no V1 and V2 until V3 appeared, seemingly forcing us to move to the next level but for many people V2 has some very desirable deliverables. Which is why on this webcast we will look at V2 and V3 to identify the differences and whether there is any common ground. If there is how can we capture the essence of this common ground so that it will satisfy the key need of all ITSM Departments? How can someone who has not yet implemented ITIL® benefit from the essence of ITIL® and how can established ITSM Departments also benefit? These and many other questions will be addressed and answered during this session.
